Giving and Blessing

I am sitting here today and the Lord and I were talking  and He was showing me somethings about giving and what I feel He is telling me.

I may get criticized on this but this is what I am truly feeling and what I believe in my Heart.

Giving to the church you attend is fine and that is what you are told to do all your life. Tithe to the church so it can run.

But, God may ask you to give other places. I know for me personally I have seen that happen and I have also seen the harvest.

Let me share a bit of that. Dan and I moved to the East side of Columbus back in December and we weren't fully committed to any church at the time and to this day we are member and commit time. We went up for pray at our local church on an issue of finances to help us move. We were in need of a certain amount of money. We gave in offerings there at the church but that was prevalent to this story, We were sitting in a meeting one Sunday am and were told by God give what you have to The Healing Stream Media Network, www.healingstreammedia.com and you will have what you need.

So on the day of the move we had the money needed. But then we had stopped giving and then things got tough and we had something happen with our tax return, which I won't go into detail about right now, that seemed like it took forever to accomplish.

So we were on the couch and it was payday. We had a bit left from our paycheck and So I heard the Lord say to me give  a certain amount to The Healing Stream Media Network, www.healingstreammedia.com, so we did. I sent a text to a good friends, Mark and Lori Kenney who run the station and said Hey expect something from us. Wish we could do more.  He prayed and we prayed over it.

So that is when the blessing started.. The next day we got a letter from the IL Attorney General's Office, saying that we were part of Class Action Lawsuit that was worth a good portion of money. Then a week later from giving the money from IRS was released and we got an abundance from that.

I am not saying to stop giving to your local church. But listen for the voice of God and ask him where else he can use your resources.

He loves you and wants you prosper. So as you are asking open your heart and be willing to seek him in all you do.
