Was talking to a good friend of mine last night and God was all over me about talking about how I feel about tithing and giving to the church and other organizations. One of which we have given to since we met the couple who runs it and love them and their family deeply.
Well, here I go.. It may seem controversial but I do believe giving to the church and it is a good thing. But that is not the only place to give. Many of us give many organization to with time and money some even give their possessions that they don't want to give up to the organization.
But God wants us to give more. Give from the heart because this is what the Father did for us. He gave His only Son to come into the world so that we as people may be saved. His Son, Jesus died on the cross. So that we didn't have to die that death and that He has forgiven us. Sorry for going off on that Rabbit trail.
But God wants to give ourselves to him !00%. So the thing I told my friend last night is that people need to start giving with their hearts and listening to the voice of God and if tells you to give to a certain ministry or place do it. Because he has fruits for you there.
On a personal note, Dan and I have given to The Healing Stream Media Network, www.healingstreammedia.com, the last 3 yrs and God has brought us blessings to numerous to count. I am not saying that will happen to but learning to trusting Him in giving for He blesses those who give so be open to Him and listen for His voice and give where He leads you to give and do it. You will reap the blessings that He will have for you.
